tijdНа первом послевыборной митинге Трамп, выступая перед толпой поклонников, предложил им посмеяться над телеведущей, которая якобы расплакалась, когда в прямом эфире узнала о результатах выборов. “How about when a major anchor who hosted a debate started crying when she realized that we won? Tears.” И, кривляясь, изображал, как она плачет.

Журналист, которую он имел в виду - Марта Раддац. В ночь выборов слез у неё не было, но был комок в горле, когда она говорила о военных, которым предстоит служить с таким главнокомандующим.
О военных Марта знает не понаслышке, общалась с ними в многочисленных репортажах. В репортаже от сентября этого года она забирается в исстребитель F-15, который летит вдоль границы Эстонии с Россией во время военных игр по отражению силами НАТО возможной российской агрессии.
Но мстительное торжество Трампа объяснимо. На вторых дебатах Марта Раддац позволила себе неуважительно перечить этому гению военной стратегии.

RADDATZ: What do you think will happen if it falls?
TRUMP: I think that it basically has fallen. OK? It basically has fallen. Let me tell you something. You take a look at Mosul. The biggest problem I have with the stupidity of our foreign policy, we have Mosul. They think a lot of the ISIS leaders are in Mosul. So we have announcements coming out of Washington and coming out of Iraq, we will be attacking Mosul in three weeks or four weeks.
Well, all of these bad leaders from ISIS are leaving Mosul. Why can’t they do it quietly? Why can’t they do the attack, make it a sneak attack, and after the attack is made, inform the American public that we’ve knocked out the leaders, we’ve had a tremendous success? People leave. Why do they have to say we’re going to be attacking Mosul within the next four to six weeks, which is what they’re saying? How stupid is our country?
RADDATZ: There are sometimes reasons the military does that. Psychological warfare.
TRUMP: I can’t think of any. I can’t think of any. And I’m pretty good at it.
RADDATZ: It might be to help get civilians out.
TRUMP: And we have General Flynn. And we have — look, I have 200 generals and admirals who endorsed me. I have 21 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients who endorsed me. We talk about it all the time. They understand, why can’t they do something secretively, where they go in and they knock out the leadership? How — why would these people stay there? I’ve been reading now...
RADDATZ: Tell me what your strategy is.

I would ask Council members and all citizens of the world to just force yourself to a take a break from your day and watch the images from eastern Aleppo. Parents cradling their children in agony, civilians on foot mowed down literally carrying their suitcases, which then lay beside their lifeless bodies. You will likely hear from the representatives of Syria and the Russian Federation today that these images are made up, that they are propaganda. This has been an argument we’ve been hearing at the last few sessions. Now, I have to acknowledge that both the Syrian government and the Russian government have significant expertise in making things up. They are great authorities, in general, on propaganda. But we have to recognize they have an interest in trying to create a post-truth world, where all facts are contested. Where there is no truth, just one man’s claim or one country’s claim or one party’s claim against another.
Syria and Russia, as they lie and as they kill civilians in Syria, count on there being no referee; no referee who will adjudicate facts – truth – on the one hand, from lies and falsehoods and fiction on the other. That is their gamble. But we have referees. The UN briefers we just heard from are our referees. They have no interest in doing anything other than calling it as it is. They are independent, they are humanitarians. The carnage is a fact, it is a truth, and it is now. The 14,000 terrified civilians, some completely hysterical, who have been driven into government-held territory – under gunfire, under airstrike attack – are also our referees. Endless numbers of authenticated photos and videos of man-made slaughter are our referees. There is no denying the truth and the facts, not even in “upside-down land,” which the perpetrators of this slaughter inhabit.

А у Трампа стратегия очень простая. Невозможно сражаться с двумя сторонами одной войны сразу. Оставить в покое Асада, уничтожить ИГИЛ теми же средствами, которые применяет Асад и которые вообще адекватны в борьбе с данной угрозой. США вторую часть уже, собственно, в Мосуле и делают, только сообщать, куда именно полетят бомбы,было не надо.
Если кто-то хочет плакать от того, что не удастся поснимать репортажи с завоевательной войны - в Ирак, видно, не успела, в Ливию, может, не попала, и вообще хочется славы Кристин Аманпур, состряпавшей "гуманитарную катастрофу в Косово" чуть ли не единолично - то я могу только присоединиться к комментарию Трампа.
Мне не всё у него нравится, Jeff Sessions это ходячий звездец, но в данном контексте слова MAGA имеют для меня личное значение. До 1999 года я был фанатом Америки. Если Трампу удастся развернуть внешнюю политику - я смогу начать, где тогда остановился. Вот подкопить бы денег да и махнуть в Геттисберг на реконструкцию. И костюм русского корреспондента туда запилить. Если угроза агрессии США перестанет нависать над рандомными "режимами", которые изволят объявить "плохими", это можно будет с чистой совестью сделать. Да и в пресловутом расширении НАТО нет ничего плохого, если это чисто оборонительный союз образца 70-х, а не агрессивный образца 1990-х и далее.

С Путиным найденная вами статья, возможно, никак не связана, но почему-то она ссылается на путинский канал RT (Russia Today). По жанру - обычный whataboutism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whataboutism).

Date: 2016-12-18 03:09 am (UTC)А ничего плохого в whataboutism нет, когда ресчь об откровенных двойных стандартов, как у нынешней администрации США. Которой осталось недолго, однако. И освобождение Алеппо, похоже, УЖЕ результат победы Трампа.
Я боялся, что Трамп внешнюю политику сольёт,назначит кого-то вроде Гингрича или Ромни SoS и все свои предвыборные обещания забудет. Как забыл Обама на эту же тему - обещал что войн больше не будет и уничтожил процветающую Ливию, формально в поддержку кучки крыс. Которые его тут же предали, тем доказав, что они крысы.
Трамп однако же пока не слил, SoS приемлемый (хотя и не Тулси Габбард, к сожалению) и про враньё про Ирак упомянули вот недавно.

Отвратительно, страшно, мохнато,
Воплощая всемирное зло,
На восток расширялося НАТО
И до нас невзначай доползло.
Над страною нависло зловеще,
Заслонивши нам солнечный свет,
И зажало в железные клещи,
От которых спасения нет.
Мы тут сеяли мирно и жали,
Добиваясь рекордов в труде,
На соседей мы зла не держали —
Мы добром их держали в узде.
Достигали совместных успехов
И кормили их щедрой рукой,
